Awsome work mate, I wish I hate access to some of these better 3D programs. If you wanted him to look more viking-like, you should make him more proportionate. He looks dwarvish because his body is out of proportion (eg. huge hands but short muscular arms). Still, as either a Viking or dwarf he looks fantastic.

Cool modelling :D Looks like he's trying to look hard, but being unavoidably cute.
I'm not sure if his legs are joined to his hips in the right place - they look a little far apart.

Thanks for the comments tharglet, yeah he is the sturn type character but he is the cartoony sort also, so he can't hide the fact that some people will call him cute lol.
Yes the hips/legs are pretty far apart, just the way I designed him, accentuates the cartoon feel.

lol, yeah mate, they got that I'm 3 foot tall but will still kick your ass feel aye lol, although Vikings were probably more like 3 meters tall. I'm trying to animate this guy too, but still need to figure out a way to do is beard. The trials and tribulations of a 3D artist aye

Thaks mate, yeah you are right there. The concept had a more viking feel to it, but for some reason I couldn't get it to roll over into 3D. The proportions are what give him that feel though, and his short stature.
Maybe if I post him in another forum, I should call him Dwarf to make things easier on myself lol.

wiking or dwarf its stil goood i mean great i mean ummm well what ya want me to say? anyways im startin to make stuff on maya ( verry poorly) making a pod racer from star wars :D dont ask why. Anyways trying to find some books about (you know what).
